i might be way off, but i think the sirens are supposed to be a reference to the real-life town silent hill was based off of? a mining town where the coal mines underneath the town caught fire, and the whole town had to be evacuated because of the fumes... and i *think* the underground fires are still burning to this day. even if i'm completely wrong it sounds neat :P

nope, that's the explanation of the movie. the true thing is that the sirens are the ones of the ambulances and fire department when alessa burnt in the house.

the movie thing is wrong, they just used it to explain why no one can enter silent hill anymore.

I always hated that lizard boss. Enemies that can kill me instantly tend to give me a lot of trouble.
