Looks like a good vehicle. The New Zealand Army replaced there Land Rover 109 fleet with these, or rather the new Pinzgauers :)

Even today it's a very good off-road vehicle. Once I could drive one of these in the Swiss Army. Man, this old little thing is incredible!

I was talking about the general size, weight and looks.

both trucks do a great job anyway although Unimogs look much better ^^

but the lockers of the Unimogs are tricky - they don't engage properly sometimes. Even the 4x4 jumps back into 4x2 and you have to try again whatever you were doing. In fact the whole Unimog gearbox is a pain to drive - it's slower and harder to shift than a regular truck box. It needs double-clutch and stuff to function properly just like an ancient unsynced box.
