I tested negative after seven months of exposure, after seven months, I should be fine right? Should I get tested again soon for a confirmed answer? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

i got my first HIV test yesterday, it's normal to be nervice & figgity, everyone get's like that, but when i took the swap & got my results back in about 20 minutes, i felt much better knowing that i am STD free of everything that i got tested for, don't be afraid of it, your better off knowing & being able to catch it early & treat it. People today are living full lives with HIV/AIDS because of the new technoligy, just don't pass it on to anyone els.. god bless & be safe !!!

I just found out today that I tested negative for HiV. However the Anxiety I had waiting to see the doctor for a whole week was mind blowing. Not only did I have to wait a week for the results not to mention the 3 hour waiting line the Doctor had NO IDEA why I was their. I basically had to spell it out to her I wanted to get my results for the HIV test and after a few tense moments pulling up my file she told me I tested negative. REST YOUR NERVES AND TAKE THE 20 MINUTE SWAP TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a way because even though there was never technically an "aids test" that's what people will refer to the "hiv test" as. That's I used to call it anyway.

People have the right to know that the "hiv tests" have no gold standard
"At present, there is no recognized standard for establishing the presence or absence of antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in human blood.."
Human immunodeficiency virus types 1 and 2: (E. coli, B. megaterium, recombinant antigen) HIVAB HIV-1/HIV-2 (rDNA) EIA. Abbott Laboratories. 2004
