Israel Raids Hamas Positions in Gaza

A major Israeli offensive against the Hamas terrorist group is underway. Last Saturday the Israeli government vowed to destroy Hamas militants, while in response the Hamas threatens with restarting suicide bombings in Israel until the very end. Here is more from our correspondent in Gaza.
The Israeli air force raided the Hamas headquarters by surprise during a ceremonial gathering on Saturday. Saturdays are a Jewish holiday where no work is normally done. So the Hamas militants were not expecting an attack.

"We are talking about their headquarters, the places in which they are. We can see on television that most of those who died during the attacks were ones with Hamas uniforms- black or other uniforms of Hamas."

The Israeli army is intent on putting an end to Hamas terrorist attacks.

"This situation cannot go on, and we will have to use all our might to strike at the terrorist infrastructure and create a new security environment in the Gaza area."

For years the Hamas has fired rockets from the Gaza strip into Israeli territory and local civilians were killed and wounded.

"No normal state, no sovereign in its full senses will allow such a situation to go on and we say, enough is enough."

But for this Hamas member, these recent air raids have made him even more determined to fight on.

"This open war on Gaza and against our people and against the resistance and against Hamas will only increase our insistence to resist the Zionist enemy."

According to local media reports, around three hundred Palestinians-mostly Hamas militants-have been killed so far and nearly a thousand have been wounded.

Israeli army tanks are now preparing for further attacks on the Gaza Strip.

What is the difference between countries like America and Japan or religions like Christianity and Islam who commit genocides or other horrible attacks on other countries, ethnic groups, and other religious groups but are not blamed as a whole and Israel and the Jewish who (as far as I know) may not even be doing all of these things according to opposing claims against Palestine.

@AmongTheDispersed ...sad thing is (and in no way am I justifying any wrongdoing Israel may have done with Palestine) a lot of people hate Israel and Jews in general for what is happening with Palestine alone.

But the thing is...many other nations have done the same thing. Japan has terrorized other nations and took over land as Germany had in WWII, yet no one seems to hold anything against the Japanese. The Americans (my nation) did the same to the Indians. We're not hated.

@AmongTheDispersed I mean, I'm not going to deny any atrocity the Israelis are carrying on against the Palestines (or is it 'Palestinians', please correct me on which one unless it's another word). A war is a war, and wars alone involve the slaying of innocent people. But apparently, due to this war, people have this idea that Israel's actions reflect the idea that the Holocaust was a hoax, a way to (most common theory from :/) get sympathy from the media. :/ And the sad...

@guperyuper99 You, yourself, might not (and I'm happy about that) but others definitely do. People seem to have this mindset that now that Israel may or may not be ostracizing Palestine (I don't know for sure what's going on over there), there must not have been a genocide of the Jewish people and other ethnic groups in Europe during World War II at the hands of Hitler, who blatantly presented himself as an Anti-Semite, and the Nazi soldiers and SS guards. Which is sad. -_-

...From the looks at some of these comments on a lot of these videos; it appears that Israel and Palestine are simply in a war, and are victimizing each other. The Palestinian side and its supporters are striking at Israel and the Jews, some are even going as far as saying the Holocaust never occured (which seems to explain the immense Holocaust denial =/). The Israelis are striking at Arabs and Palestine, with Israel's supporters doing the same.
