In March 2006, John and Emily were born seven weeks early. Doctors told their parents, Andrew and Kelly Graham, that John had Down syndrome. Emily would have speech delays. The couple enrolled their children in early intervention services at the New York League for Early Learning (NYL) William OConnor School after a referral. With the help of teachers and staff, the twins blossomed. The goal of NYL is to make a difference at the very beginning. As a result of comprehensive services and programs, many enrolled children go on to mainstream classes.
