The apartment blocks of Egypt's capital boast an inverted social hierarchy: the wealthiest residents live inside, on different floors, while at the very top, poor families make their homes on the roof. Over the decades, entire communities of rooftop denizens have developed, even though their living quarters are illegal.
Cairo is a dump altogether, not sure why people go there. Just go check out discovery channel for documentaries on the ancient Egyptians. I was tricked out of £100s while there, I will never want to go to that dump again. I was made ill from the dire quality of the food and there were next to no good restaurants. Egypt should do a hell of a lot more to improve the quality of the lives of it's citizens, which will eradicate the drive of many turning to Islam extremism.
