the school house rock "Three is the Magic Number" Nike commercial aired around 1997 when the shoe was released. It was a shoe worn by Reggie Miller who was/is famous for his 3 point shooting ability.

Nike was invented in 1978 so it had to be aired in 1979 to be aired in the 70s. It probably aired between 1979 and 1989.
