The struggling-but-gifted freelance graphic artist Kyle Rayner saw his life change when Ganthet, the last surviving Guardian of the Universe handed him the most powerful weapon in existence --- a Green Lantern power ring. Unsure of his new role as the Last of the Green Lanterns, Rayner battled heavily with both the responsibility that came with wielding the ring and a slew of the vilest and most dangerous villains in the galaxy.
Through the years, Kyle Rayner has gained the respect and admiration of his fellow heroes but, has also lost many loved ones in his crusade as the sole representative of the emerald power of will.
Bearing witness to and playing an integral part in the return of the Green Lantern Corps,
Kyle now serves with great honor along his fellow corpsmen under the guidance of the new Guardians of the Universe, all of whom will forever regard him as the man who carried on The Legacy of the Corps when no one else could... to him he is now one of the many, to them he is the undisputed Torchbearer.
