@garymichael1950 Doesn't anybody at YouTube have a sense of humor?

@FamilyOfMan1975 I went back to college at 55..what of it?

@luvmegan Are you trolling or do you honestly believe what you are spouting? Either is pretty bad.

A middle aged woman going to college??!!!???!? What an unbelievable premise. No wonder it didn't last.

All these shows didn't last because, frankly, they were about as lame as grandpa's sclong. "Alvin" or "Father Knows Best"? Please. Where are real people? America wants to think these families existed. They did not. I see these shows now and I think people must have memories of a gnat if they look back and long for this mediocrity. I think of TV history as a human: Today, the adult, is more interesting and better than the past, the child. God

Wednesday nights {all times eastern}:
7:30 THE ALVIN SHOW [more successful in Saturday morning repeats and syndication]
8:00 FATHER KNOWS BEST [repeats from earlier seasons]
8:30 CHECKMATE [co-produced by Jack Benny!]
9:30 MRS. G GOES TO COLLEGE [THE GERTRUDE BERG SHOW, as of January '62; her character was not too different from "Molly Goldberg"]
10:00 THE U.S. STEEL HOUR, alternating with ARMSTRONG CIRCLE THEATER [live and taped drama anthologies, their titles missing from this print]
I LOVE Cabot's voice.

Oh...to have TV like this, once again would be total bliss! No filth, no profanity, and a moral message in the end. And people wonder what has happened to America!
