  • I knew that wouldn't fly even before you tried to take off. The airfoil is to big, which creats to much drag let alone the big box like fuselage. You would need alot more power to over come the drag. And beside that the airfoil is upside down. The flater part of the airfoil should be on the bottom of the wing not the top.

  • Let me silence your ignorance before you infect the web anymore with your stupidity. First of all, it DID fly. Perhaps you aren't that observant.

Secondly its boxlike because we had to carry over 7 pounds of bulky cargo due to the competition restraints.

  • Third, and most importantly, if our airfoil was upsidedown it wouldn't have gotten off the ground. You can't even see the airfoil profile in this video. At the wingtips there are winglets which assist in keeping the pressures separated above and below the airfoil.

Just because you think you're smart, doesn't make you so. Do your homework before making an ass of yourself.

  • what were the goals of the project?

  • google "2007 aiaa dbf rules".

  • It needs to go on a diet.

  • I can see what you trying to do ,do think the cg was a tab aft?

  • @evilnoob93 Not when you're underpowered.

  • In my opinion, from what I can see in the video (I can't really tell how thick the wing is, etc.) the aircraft probably needs more wingspan and perhaps more power...or reduced overall drag.

  • ...But seriously, here's the problem: That thing has a full beer belly! Regardless of the fuselage shape and size...it can shape like Dolly Parton for that matter...if an aircraft has enough power, wing area and proper center of gravity (CG) balance, it will fly; the tail on your plane there is overloaded---plain and simple!

  • "Joey, have you ever seen a grown man naked...You like movies about gladiators!!!"

  • We hope you enjoy your flight on Obama Airway. As you're leaving the plane, we would like to ask all of you kindly to please clean up your own vomit...And thank you greatly once again for choosing Commie Airlines and please come again!!!

  • was this the year that AR was a score part?

  • looks like a flying casket no offence man.
