@TheChickenrun3 Films are at the point now where a few extra hours in the makeup chair isn't practical over a few hours of vfx later on. It allows them to get filming done much quicker and more efficiently.
@marneebox Do you mean like a editing software? Just to combine footage and add sound etc? That would be Adobe Premiere, I think. Sorry I dunno exactly what they use. But I do have a rough idea, you would have to speak with a professional who actually does this kinda stuff for more indepth info lol, sorry.
I do know this however, a lot of the companies like Pixar actually develop their own software to render or edit stuff. So basically, it really depends on who you work for, it seems?
