A video diary of my first attempt to build a OO gauge DCC model railway (any advice is welcome)

  • How much is the dcc controller?

  • mine was about £100. I'm not 100% though

  • yes it is i am using a bachmann controller with hornby trains and hornby dcc chips

  • can someone tell me what to use for a hill/tunnel and where to get it from

  • @mecrazy5 Hornby decoders must not be wrapped that is what instructions say that come with it.

  • @drwhotrainfan you only need one, but you need these special clips for the points

  • @OOGAUGETRAINS use some plaster cloth and some wire mesh make a hill form out of mesh then screw it to the board then cover with plaster cloth if you are covering train tracks with a hill my advice would be put paper towels over the tracks so that any plaster that will prip wont damage your track also you get mesh from a diy shop and the plaster cloth from your local railway hobbyshop thank you and good look
