There is too much for me to say on this. I will keep it short. Fascinating and incredible. When you have found out more about this, follow their lead. My new blog is .dietdelusion .co .uk tells you more (personal site). Also look up Gary Taubes, Jimmy Moore, Dr Malcolm Kendrick, Dr Uffe Ravnskof, Dr Mary Enig, Sally Fallon, Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt, Tom Naughton, Barry Groves, and these are limited examples only. Make sure you put low carb after their names to ensure you get the right ones.
~good job everyone, i applied for a job and the best person forward became a Qhwun eetum lady. Now i see her, and in her travels, and demonstrations i see where i was a leader of some sorts even by way of leaving a paper trail through resume, cover letter. Goes to show that we as the inherent inhabitants of the land, are still leading for others to "discover" what it means to host, communicate, be "community".....
My partner is a large Cree whose sugar would go from 20+ down to 3.somthing, sometimes in a single day. We started this diet after seeing it on CBC and his sugar has not risen above 12 nor below 5. In just a few weeks! 'course he's big on bacon and eggs, so he's still a large Cree =P This is totally worth doing!!
The CBC documentary was great! I was very moved, and think if the studies confirm the anecdotal results then it should have an effect on land claims and environmental priorities.
wow...my suspicions have been confirmed. For years and years I have suspected that carbs n sugars were why diabetes is so high in FN. I used to look at what my parents and grandparents used to harvest to eat back when it was a lot tougher to get market foods. LOL I haven't mustered up the will power to stop eating carbs n sugars yet...but have cut back.
I just watched the cbc special and was very impressed. As a First Nations Person I too face the challenge of being overweight. I would love more information on the foods you can and cannot eat.
