i've been aware of LETS for a long time (tried to get a local govt job long ago, and wanted to set up such a thing here - the interviewer of course wasn't interested in any good ideas that make the world better),
and i wonder what do folks involved in these saner economies think about the online gaming fads? i'm meaning where people are able to pay for objects that only exist digitally - like characters clothing items etc. look at the amount being exchanged, where do they work?! to pay for that

Jct: Yes, interest-free complementary currencies are the beginning of the democratisation of money and finance. And yes, the UNILETS is the end of the process for when the usury banking software is debugged and upgraded to the ideal UNILETS once and for all,. what's left to do? Give me my 3 Nobel Prizes and let's get on with partying when banking is done on Earth is it is in Heaven, loanshark-free.
Just imagine when they all become compatible by adopting the Time Standard of Money!

Nice work nittyjee!
You tell the story in a clear and simple manner.
Complimentary? How about alternative til the current system is reformed, regulated and/or replaced by a better system.

@SwordBlue Do you think that you can use an "alternative" currency tomorrow if you decided to, while the money you're using now will be reformed, and then switch back to it? Why would you switch back if it was working enough to use it in the first place?
If you want a life in a prosperous society, you'll have to convince millions to switch to an "alternative" all at once. "Complementary" is far more practical, because the more successful ones will replace or balance the system naturally.
