How do you travel through that rough ground so fast without PRB?

Sorry I never replied sooner, I don't always check the comments here. There are a few things which can be done:
1) I add as many extra hops as possible in the dirt and mud. Each one only saves a small amount of time but they all add up.
2) I used the Dry Bomber. This kart is the best at going off-road without PRB.
3) I used Dry Bones,the lightest character. The lighter characters are a little faster off-road.
These techniques will work on all courses with off-road sections. Hope this helps :)

I have tested both the strats for the bumps at the end and I can now say that your strat for the bumps is faster for sure :)
