This animation shows the results of a 90m x 60m GPR survey over a Mansio structure within Cunetio Roman town, Wiltshire. The dataset was collected as part of a 'Time Team' episode for Channel 4, using a Mala MIRA GPR system, with help from our friends at LTU (www.ltultd.com) who supplied the unit and produced this clip.

The MIRA is a multi-antenna system utilising, in this instance, a 400MHz transmitter/receiver array attached to a small tractor unit with positional information supplied from a robotic Total Station. The system collects 16 lines of data simultaneously with a inter-line spacing of just 0.08m. This animation shows the top 2.0m of time-sliced data at an effective slice interval of 0.01m.
