I'm from Elkader, and this really is a great little promotion! Schera's especially has great food, and the Opera House renovation is just beautiful.
Go there! It's relaxing and pretty. They didn't mention Pedretti's Bakery, which has the best bread you'll ever eat.

I live in elkader! and the girl at 1:35 which her sleeves rolled up is one of my good friends and the guy next to her is her dad.
