Please look at your TKD history. The Palgwe forms and the Taeguk forms are identified with the same symbols, I-Ching Trigrams, and meanings. The Palgwe forms were developed in 1967by Kukkiwon and later Taeguk forms were developed by Kukkiwon in 1971. Kukkiwon later indicated the "elimination" of palgwe. I think it is a matter of instructional preferences and organizational affiliation. I think both sets of forms are useful as teaching methods.

well thats just what Master Shin calls them. Maybe there are more common names, but in every competition i've been in, they've been called that.

ummm those moves are not taekwondo or at least not kukkiwon approved names for the moves.

well it should be said the same way in korean is there is no diff in palg"ae" and palg"we" unless you say it weird

This is a good video and all, but at my school, we do a left hand chop (facing front) in horse stance, turn our hand while counting to 5, crescent kick to hand, back kick and "fall" onto the ground BEFORE we do the final pseudo or "back stance double knife hand middle block" as you call it. I will still rate it ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

How chaotic. This is my favorite of the Palgwe forms. I think these forms were originally Hapkido forms.
