What he said was that if Obama was president back in Lincoln's time, he would try to avoid a civil war and would therefore not be as pro slave removal. Lincoln was good at his time but I don't think you'd want that type of president in the 21 century.

I am glad that Obama won! Only took 500 years of slavery, rape, mob lynchings, KKK "religious" activity, and a civil war...to even begin to right the wrongs of slavery.
