@BrianPicchi Hmmm...it should be last checkbox in the monitors control panel. From memory, this is only in System 6.0.1. If you're running plain System 6, the option won't be there.

@NJRoadfan I'm not sure I've ever understood the distinction between the ShadowWrite and Hermes NDAs. You gotta have one or the other, though, IMHO.

The music is a MOD song called Dotland which was from NinjaForce's MegaDemo. The whole soundtrack of that demo is amazing. I have a video of it on my channel.

That music is awesome, has it got a name?. And the snow is too!

do all appleIIGs games work on the gui? Are there gui specific games? How did you get the USB hard drive to run from your apple?

@clay0n
Not sure why I didn't see this comment earlier. Most IIGS-specific games can be launched from the GUI, but there are a few titles that aren't hard drive installable or launchable. 8-bit Apple II games that use ProDOS are also launchable from the GUI.

DeskMaker looks cool -- is it free? I currently use BackDrop from Softdisk instead.

@gamebits
Yes, Deskmaker is free. It can be downloaded from whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za or I can send it if you need. I recommend using 640x200 pictures with not too many colors since you're limited to 4 or 6 I believe. Since most awesome IIGS pictures are in 320x200, I use Super Convert 4 to convert them to 640x200 with dithering and the result is usually pretty darn good.

Here's a small tip: Go to the Monitors control panel and check that smoother mouse cursor is turned on. You should find the cursor won't flicker anymore.

@HelixNRG
You got good eyes! I actually forgot about that flickering, I had gotten so used to it. Its been flickering ever since I installed my ZipGSX card awhile back. You'll have tp show me where I check that option as I don't see it in the control panel.
