Guitar - Jackson Stars RR-J2SP (discontinued)
Pickup - Jackson J-50BC
Electronics - JE-1000
Amp - Korg PX4
Recorded with webcam on Laptop w/Windows Vista.

I got a JE-1000!!!! Now I have the exact same guitar setup as Laiho in '99. Wish I still had the GP-1000 too.

Thanks to Uros/Nazgul for sending me the unit, it's transformed my guitar sound by 1000 and I love it.

I couldn't hear the sound of my guitar through the speakers, so I'm surprised it came out alright, all I could hear was the TWANG TWANG of the strings, grrr.

I would like to do another through my amp upstairs, but I don't know what to play! Hence the few seconds of silence between some things...

Anyway, enjoy!

  • very nice

  • i cant understand why the rr24 is like 1300 euros and the rr3 700 euros

  • @MitchD21 Thanks a lot again, man... I can now do this :3

  • what pickup are u using?...alexi.if so thn...is it alexi's tone..or u've adjusted another settings on it?

  • ..and damn, you're fucking good at sweeping!!!

  • Hey man, I just picked up a Jackson Stars SL/TN01. These are some sweet pieces! I'm sure Jackson USA or Fender decided to discontinue J. Stars because they were afraid of the Japanese craftsmanship again beating the U.S. at their own game!

  • @MitchD21 Haha, something similar to what I used to think and attempt to do but I guessed there was another way, it kind of didn't seem right to me, and there were palm muted notes ringing out anyway. I also don't think I see you muting with your index in any way :P

This should eventually give me a better sense of where my palm is placed I guess...

    Thanks a lot!

  • @apalmalarrain Hmm, that's pretty simple. I'm fretting a note on the G string and I'm strumming E A D G as you say but palm muting with my right hand and also muting with my left by using the underside of my index finger to kill any sound. I do it alot and it's a great technique to practice.
