There are hundreds and thousands of these helpless old people on the streets of india.
So next time you see any old homeless person or an old beggar, if not money try to atleast buy him/her something to eat.
Next time when you buy those new expensive shoes or an expensive handbag or pay crazily for your alcohol or for a frappe in coffeeday, remember to keep atleast 10rupees aside to buy food for one of those hungry people on the streets. God knows when was the last time they had a stomachfull meal.
Here in India, thousands of people are old & homeless.. let's pay our taxes without fail & regularly.. so that.. one day, it will meet the ends of justice to them

I'd say public schools are the key. In India, mostly kid's are taught to beg to live in their village. Support them for now, because the poverty is disappearing. All stats and recent history comparatively to China we're doing pretty good.
All respects to China.

in india they really have to make more homeless shelters for them but the politicians are too corrupt to even consider it. saddens me

this really pisses me off. i try to help them when i visit india but really the thing is most indians dont feel sympathy for them. i even learned not to make eye contact with beggars

in the end, it makes no difference how they end up on the street, often it is indeed because of injustice and economic inequalities in societies; but it should make no difference.
if you were struggling from pain or hunger, dying on the street and someone came up to you would you want their help or want them to ask questions how you ended up in your situation? it is our responsibility and duty to help those less fortunate- Dharma. moreover it is our privilege and joy to help the poor. thank you

Yes, families from Idia do have very strong family values..its a very possible reason that the homeless in india must have gotta shuned and disowned by their family for various reason (or for what their family thought was wrong )many years ago and wich made it so that they are still out on the streets after all those years...its so sad ...of maby they've had an abusive husband who put them out...it could have been a reason of anything , but its still SO sad to see them live this way
