This is where the United States was believed to have come the closest to capturing or killing bin laden. It was through the Tora Bora mountain range that he escaped US capture and fled into Pakistan.

@DorothyDandrich NO, this was not taken by C-17 globemaster. This was taken entirely by me by my video camera while on a flight of AIRINDIA from Delhi to New York in a Jumbo 747 plane.
