Hi! I had no idea we lived so close to each other! Hubby and I sold our car when we moved away from Missouri, so we've just been riding the subway for the last 6.5 years. Wonder if I could get to Sally's by subway. If you're ever coming to Manhattan, let me know! Sorry I've been away from youtube and flickr for awhile. I'm working on correcting a health issue that has caused my hair to thin some, and feel pretty bummed about it. I oiled it last night, though, so I feel like a cutie pie today!

@bweeta It may be 2 years to late but NYC may or may not have Sallys (these days) but NJ does just across the GWB in lovely Hackensack. Though I have actually never been to the one in Hackensack, I think, I HAVE been to the one in Fairfield though. ( I live in Hackensack an work In Fairfield) I miss Emiliani's but you have to have a license to go there, and I nolonger have one.(wish they had YouTube when I was in School.)

I wore this to a wedding last night and got compliments like you wouldn't believe! And everyone was AMAZED that I did it myself! Lovely hairstyle! Thank you so much. I love your channel - I've tried so many of your styles and it's so nice to have something fun to do with my hair (it's to the top of my butt) aside from just down or up in a bun!

I tried this hairstyle a few weeks ago when I went out, and it was magical! It stayed up all night, didn't budge once! And there was a lot of tomfoolery and goofiness going on. Way to make a great hairstyle! You're the best.

Do you have really thick hair? I ask because whenever I try your styles they always come out a little flatter than yours. I know I don't have very thick hair, but blonds usually have thinner hair than brunettes, and your hair looks way thicker than mine! Is there a conditioner you use to volumize it?

I do have very thick hair. I'm not strictly blonde, either. :o) I have a lot of red in my hair, and I think red heads as a rule have thicker hair...so mine's a mix. I don't use any thing that volumizes as I try to keep my volume to a minimum. :o) Everyone's hair is different, it's just the luck of the draw.

By the way, last week I ordered the Good Days Hair Pins from Sally Beauty online (no Sally stores in NYC, sadly). Now I wish I'd ordered more than one pack (I'll probably go back for more). Thanks for the recommendation, because my hair's too heavy for bobby pins.

I need to go out and pick up a couple of more packs, myself. JJJLongHair gave me that recommendation, so I've been passing the word along. :o) She knows from hair accessories as she has feet of hair on me and wears it up so often. I <3 her.
