HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - Officials at Hope College confirm ten flu cases among students, nine of which have tested probable for the H1N1 virus.
The students all visited the college health center in the past week with flu-like symptoms. The health center shared that information with the county and heard today that nine of the ten cases came back as probable H1N1. The results of the 10th case aren't known yet. Those results have been sent to the CDC for further testing.
Seven of the students have returned to their hometowns. Richard Frost, Hope's Dean of Students, says all ten appear to making a good recovery from their illnesses. However, leaders don't know if those students were still carrying the virus when they returned home.
