we played this my sophomore year of hs for our UIL wind symphony contests. i loved it :D we got strait 1's and beasted it up lol. its so long though...trumpets got a spot where there's like 85 measures of rest :P

@ttlms The best "non-commercial" recording of this I ever heard was the 1970 Crockett HS Band, Austin Texas, under the direction of David L. Pennington. (Arguably the best HS band in the USA that year)...This ain't that, either!

The best commercial recording I am aware of is the Dallas Wind Symphony's CD "Fiesta". This ain't that.

I actually have an american elegy it`s just that becuase it`s over the 10 minutes mark i`d hate to wreck the flow. However, i`ll post it since you asked, it`ll be up later tonight. :)
