June's monthly century was the Great Cargobike Century. I was riding a speedy and fun Larry vs. Harry Bullitt while Derek rode his trusty Surly Cross Check. I guess he didn't get the memo about the Cargobike theme : (
No worries as the Bullitt was totally up to the task and taking on a Cross Check that stood in the way was no deterrent!
Whether it was flying through downtown Minneapolis, soaring down countryside hills, sneaking through narrow, windy bike trails or cutting through an off-road section of the trail the Bullitt was ready for the challenge.
No shortage of fun on this ride. Sweet!

  • Do you think the bicycle is up for a multi-day trip? I'm thinking of flying to Europe in October '10 and riding from Copenhagen to Amsterdam on one.

  • Holy Crap! That sounds like an absolute blast. I would not hesitate to use the Bullitt for a mega tour. It might be a bit overkill in regards to load capacity, but I nailed the 100 miles in style and I would have happily jumped into another 100 the next. Take pics and send a few our way :)

  • The deck is aluminum with skateboard grip-tape down the middle. Sweet!

  • Next year: the first annual Cargo Bike Wheelie Contest Invitational!

  • Dont you get a bucket container thing that fits onto the bullit?

  • The load capacity is one of the attractions. I can just throw my bag on the bike, like in a car trunk, and ride off...

  • hey! nice middle plate! What it is made of?

    Cheers from Portugal! Steffen
