Crochet - Corded Ridge Hexagon Blanket - 1 Day Later

The blanket is taking shape nicely. It looks pretty sharp. I made a mistake and explain why.

Creating one while pulling another isn't lazy - it's efficient! Very clever. I spent too much time unraveling last night because of a tension mistake and now wish I'd just restarted straight away instead. Next time!

In fact I may have been mistaken. The angles on hexagons are 120 degrees, and the angles on squares are 90 so if you did what I said you might come even worse off.

Try doing 5 increases per corner, I think this is the usual number in granny squares. There are lots of resources online for doing crochet squares and you'll find the answer I'm sure.

The reason your square is bulging is because you made the same increases at the 4 corners as for the hexagon even though you have 2 corners fewer than with the hex.

Therefore you need to count the total number of increases per turn and divide it by 4 to get the exact number of increases per corner for the square.
