Christopher is learning to paraglide. He is exceptionally coordinated and is progressing well as seen here. He is nearly ready for a high solo flight. Unforunately we are now in the midwest and the nearest mountain is 1000 miles away.

  • Nice practice field. Nice handling of the wing. You are talented but Take note that there is a tremendous difference between a 10 ft practice field and a 500 ft ridge. Before making the step to the mountain take professional training. Anything higher than 20 ft can be lethal in certain extreme conditions. sometimes the pilot is it's worst ennemy .The panic can mak one take bad decisions.

Happy and safe flying. Do you consider paramotoring PPG ?

  • Christopher is 13 now and has over 100 solo flights. Check him out as Laker1453.

At 13 that teenager mindset kicks in and he has decided to quit paragliding now. Well OK then, I don't make my kids fly. I hope someday he will come back to his senses and rejoin us paragliding.

  • what's the pig havasak on his back?? ( i know jack obout pg)

  • That is his harness. It is designed to help protect your back if you fall on it from 2-3 meters high. It also holds your reserve parachute that you can throw if you get in trouble above about 100 meters. Between 3 and 100 meters is the real danger zone in paragliding.

  • how much did you pay for that harness?

  • $500 including a reserve parachute.

  • Dad you rock for letting the boy do this and letting him soar.

Don't let gravity stop you from flying Christopher!!

  • powered is overrated, nothing like using the air to soar. (worth the drive)

That little hill is perfect for training, nice find!
