Was definitely expecting a magnetic rail gun, a little disappointed but I did learn about a new type of gun today. Sort of reminded me of super small scale artillery haha.

My mate just had one of these built with an incredibly large stock. The machining is very nice and the finish is excellent.
It took me aback initially, as it's such a striking looking weapon. The 2 inch pipe looks huge. I commented about barrel whip....
We all giggled like dickheads....
A very accurate platform I'm sure, can't wait to see him using it at 1000+
Cheers!

OK, I found you can buy these for like $3k
Or you can buy the plans for $200 and have your machinist buddy help you to make one :)

Super cool :)
Where can I get one of these ?
It's a good way to test the "potential" of a rifle and ammo.
For example :
if I found my rifle and ammo could shoot MOA, then I know anything less is MY technique :)
I wonder where I could get one of these or plans to build one ?

@imn06c The skill required here is the building of the rifle and custom tailoring the ammunition to the rifle. There is a LOT of skill needed to compete is these matches. There is just as much effort put into the guns and ammo here as there is put into the cars on your channel. There's no more talent in stepping on a gas pedal than squeezing a trigger, but the build (car or gun/ammo) takes talent, time, and effort.

there's no skill in that, that's stupid.
Actually there is a lot of skill in several areas shooting rail guns. The focus of the shooting skill in competition is a different wind reading technique. In theory the only thing that stops you getting small groups is the wind moving your bullets so selecting the time to shoot (and temporarily) stop is the skill in the match shooting part of using rail guns. The idea is to totally remove any physical effects and completely focus it on wind reading.
