Buy this game and more at http://www.pedrogames.com . Based on the 1983 arcade game by Irem, 10-Yard Fight is a basic Top Down view American Football game. It has 5 levels of difficulty; high school, college, pro, playoffs, and Super Bowl. You begin the game as the offensive side. The ball is kicked to you and you start running up the field. You can throw the ball to one of the two running backs, or throw way across the field to your receiver. That is a risk, because the ball can be intercepted by the opposing team. You can also punt the ball and try for a field goal. 2 Player Mode puts player one as the offensive side and player 2 as the defensive side. 10-Yard Fight is a basic fun football game for your NES.

There are hundreds of reviews of this game online but nobody knows how to kick a field goal. Some say it's automatic if you're "within range" but that 's not true. I've tried it numerous times from inside the five and it just runs the normal play on fourth down.
