ECLIPSE ENGINE KNOCKING

We replaced the following, cylinder head, all the gaskets, spark plugs, oil, water pump, timing belt, cam gears,ac belt, alternator belt, and spark plug wires. with new stuff. getting this sound.

fixed this car and sold it put a new engine in! and no one drove this car while we work on it ppl.

I bet it is the Rod Bearings. They are probably spun. Thats what was wrong with my 2000 Eclipse.

i had the same problem on my eclipse it was : casquillos ubicados en la parte inferior del motor con la viela it happened to me cause i was racing it with low oil trust me u need to check those thinks ...ps i dont know the name of those things in english sorry :s

yea exactly bori. Why do you care about the knocking when your going to fuck the car up anyways get some sort of air cleaner on their first and a timing belt cover the knock is a bearing anyways. Lifters make more of a ticking or tapping than a knock but hey sense you dont have a air cleaner on it just take it for 50 miles beating on it and if it blows up its def. a bear

Like moneymaka said it's ur lifters and put da fucken intake box or cai, Sri or sumthing ur fucking dat car up....lol goodness gracious with u people...

i just had to fix my car its a bad bearing on the crankshaft  i had to have my crank rebuilt
