This is a Navy T-39 on account of the paint scheme. From the very first shots of the side, I counted 6 windows, which means it's a G-model. Plus the localizer antaenna on the tail...
Ahhh, the mighty "strike-pig" how I love thy portly lines and screechie engines.
The possibility of this being a "D" model (Navy) is very good because the Air Force had only 6 "B" models, 1 of which I was Crew Chief on (Air Force Jet 60-3475). I all respects, the "B" and "D" models looked identical. The only difference between the 2 was the Air Force version used the J60-P3/3A engines whereas the Navy version used the J60-P5/5A engines. All 6 Air Force models are currently moth-balled at Davis-Monthan AFB, Az and probably have been junked out.
That aircraft is now at MATC milwaukee technical college @ "The Aviation center" on MKE Mitchell Int. airport. It is all tore apart now and looks like shit, maybe a brother jet.
The T-39 is a Navy trainer. The Air Force flies the T-1.
