Here is a demo of the Tanabe Dumkudo Overdrive pedal from Tanabe in Japan.
It is similar in build and sound to the Zendrive pedal, i.e. it emulates that elusive 'Dumble' sound as favoured by the likes of Larry Carlton and Robben Ford.

  • i hear a lot of Bonamassa here xD

man you nearly have the same vibrato in your fingers!

Man, thank you so much for your comment. A few people on some of my videos have said the same thing. Funny thing is as much as I like him I wouldn't be a big listener of his music. I guess the fact that we're the same age and listened to the same players growing up has something to do with the connection. If i only had about 2% of the rest of his incredible technique I would be set LOL!!

  • @chooseyourblues as long as you keep the feel you don't need so much technique xD

    Amen brother.

Well, in case you didn't realise it is a video demonstration of the Dumkudo pedal hence why I am 'fiddling with the pedal'; to show different settings. It is not a technique video about vibrato or otherwise.

    thank you for stopping by.

  • That volume boost is horrid IMO, otherwise a great pedal.

  • Great demo! You convinced me at list to have a try! Really sound like Dumble! Great pedal indeed!

  • @chooseyourblues is your tele dimed or is the volume pulled back a bit? thanks.

  • I'm digging this. Where the heck do you find Dum/Zenkudos anyways???

  • Could you do a demo vs the Freekish Blues Alpha Drive II STD or USA Made Custom shop? I think you will be quite surprised.

  • @neilslade

It's fully adjustable but too sensitive to my ears, you either have too much difference or not enough. Otherwise great pedal.

  • that's quite odd- I've heard nothing but wonderful comments from other customers, adn I have one. The volume boost is completely adjustable (or should be) on this.
