Failure to feed could be weak mag springs. The fast and short cycle of a compact can cause the round not to be picked up by the slide as it should. I lean toward this because the duty ammo is hotter. Most of the mag spring probs occur mid way to last round in mag. Where there is even less upward pressure.

Bullet nose can bump up the slide stop. Basically the gun thinks the mag follower is tripping the slide stop. Different ammo tips can do this. Fix is file down the slide stop enough to clear the rounds, but still catch the mag follower.

Recoil inertia, heavy or ambi slide stops can hop up. File a small horizontal groove where the plunger meets the slide stop. Dont go crazy, but you can always buy another.
I ended up selling this firearm to a private party for $400, and bought me a Kimber Custom II, but keep the tips coming, because there may be others out there that are having this same issue!
