oh wow i knew i recognized his voice from somewhere! its Gene!! <3 i watched him do the raven dance at the salmon festival in washington this year and it was amazing!! and plus since i was "backstage" hanging with all the other natives, they told me all sorts of different stories and it was just awesome

Thank you so much for posting this! I love this story, and Gene's voice is wonderful to listen to.
I have always had a special connection to ravens, both because "The Raven" is my favorite poem by Edgar Allan Poe and also because of the raven being depicted in myths as a wise messenger and I have often been called an "old soul" or "wise spirit" by those who know me and have read the stories and plays I've written (I'm a writer).
