@inky960 The low profile c neck, with the wider finger broad feels like a v with out the point. Fast easy action. You have to try the HD-16R LSH. My opinion the HD-28 can't touch it. With the Hybrid scalloped bracing and LSH. You don't need a Adirondack top. It has plenty of Vol.and the deep bass, mids and highs one would need. Go try one out, and I bet you will buy it. At $1999 it is a steal of a life time. It has MT neck instead of a DT neck. The neck is cedar. What a great smell left on hands

@inky960 They make a D-16 Adirondack, HD-16R that has a Adirondack top. The other 16 line are Sitka spruce. My HD-16R LSH has a Sitka spruce top. I don't think any other 16 has a lsh. I really don't think it needs it. The HD-16R LSH is plenty loud enough. The bass is very deep, with a lot of mids and highs very well balanced. The HD-28V has nothing on it. It sounds as good and plays better then the D-28 Clarence White. The HD-16R LSH has a 1/3/4 nut.

@bluegrasssingingman LOVE Martins! I'd played my HD-28 almost non-stop for many years, then some idiot stole it. : ( Do the HD-16s had Adirondack tops? And large sound hole?

@inky960 I'm Martin man when it comes to guitars. I just got rid of a Martin HD-28. I replaced it with a Martin HD-16 RLSH. What a great guitar.

@bluegrasssingingman Ditto for The Loar LH-600 guitars, and the awesome LH-700s. The 700s are almost all sold, and there won't be any more, but the 600s are killer archtops, hand-carved, solid wood, VERY loud, jazz or swing tone. Less that $1K, and Gibson would sell the same guitar for $8K, at least.

@CaseyJones461 The Loar LM 600 plays and sound as good as Gibson, Weber, and the over priced Collings. The LM 600 is made just as good. I love my LM 600, and I couldn't ask for better.
