To make this, you need: Capacitor (1000uF minimum, capable of handling minimum 150V), one recitifier, switch, and of course a dynamo (or, a 'manual' generator, preferably a field telephone, its easy to obtain one, look for it on ebay etc.)

It is sufficient to turn the handle for about 10 seconds - for 10 seconds it gives about 2A and 840V. It was my first test so I didnt know :)

Have you field tested this to see if it will actually initiate a detonation with ANFO or similiar secondary explosives?
