I like his solo on " TAKE FIVE " with TITO PUENTE. recorded live at Universidad de Puerto rico. Check it out. When finishes his sole MR PUENTE comes over and shines his sax that hes got on the lapel of his jacket ! I thought that was kool coming from MR PUENTE acknowledging his MR MARIO RIVERA performance.

if a sax player doesn't know MARIO RIVERA i usually dismiss him especially if he's not interested in finding out who he is. marios solos are memorable, some people play great but you nver remmber their solos. marios solos were meant to be remembered.
