  • i love needtobreathe. but since when are they a christian band? or have they always been?

  • Good question, when I went to the above show I asked Bo if they were a Christian band, he turned right back around and asked me if I was a Christian. I saod yes, and he said they were not a Christian band, but that he and his brother had grown up in the church, so his experiences are interwined sometimes with his faith.

  • I believe that it's the lifestyle you live that makes you a christian. I heard someone ask before that if a plumber is a christian, would people refer to him as a "christian plumber?" I thought that was a good point. If someone is a christian then it will come out in their lifestyle regardless of what they do for a living. So, I said all that to say I agree with you.

  • i beleive that its the living presence of the mighty God Jesus Christ living through us increasing as we decrease. pretty good huh?

  • @Specialcookie246 they're technically alternative, but a lot of there songs have christian elements

  • WOOHOO love it! Great guys! Video is just awesome! I can't turn this song up loud enough! Brings tears to my eyes, I feel His presence. YHWH bless you! I learned people were performing miracles in the name of Jesus Christ with all glory to God and I realized God said to us through apostle Paul, " 1Cor. 9:22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some." Sacred Name is for study, not to separate us from people.

  • @Specialcookie246 i got a dvd that i play at my parents church for praise and worship and its on there soo...ive come to the conclusion that they are haha

  • @umbilical007 I think that if their lyrics are 90% about God, then obviously they aren't ashamed or denying their Christianity. I think that they just don't feel the need to be labeled as a certain genre of music. It's pretty clear to me that they have no problem saying that they personally are "Christians". So if they're doing their music and honoring Christ through it, then why does it matter if they sell albums in the "christian music" section or the "rock" section?

  • @stephenspanier Yeah, you might not be called a "christian plumber".....but if you're a plumber who follows Jesus.....your not ashamed to be called a plumber who is christian! Or a Plumbing company that is christian! The point is RIDICULOUS! These guys can catagorize themselves ANYWAY they want to.....but if they;re singing about Jesus, and making MONEY off of Jesus (which they do!) then they shouldn't be ashamed to identify EVERYTHING in their life as belonging to Jesus, INCLUDING THEIR BAND!

  • @bosoxrox33 once again, you can call it what you want, but it's just a gimic to allow them to convieniently deny their Christianity! Are they ASHAMED to be catagorized as a band that identifies with Jesus? When 90% of your lyrics have to do EXCLUCIVELY with God, the ONLY reason you don't want to be called a "christian" band is you're afraid your 15 minutes of fame may be cut short! Its a cop-out, thats all and you attempting to give them cover is hilarious!

  • @umbilical007 Even though they play on TBN and sing about God and say that they are influenced by their faith doesn't mean they have categorize themselves as a Christian band. They don't need that label to reach out to people who listen to Christian music exclusively because they feel that it doesn't matter what they're called in order to produce music they enjoy making and people enjoy listening to! Same with The Fray or Lifehouse or Flyleaf....

  • even if they aren't all christian all the time this is a great song and god used them here

  • @SherAlana , sounds like a gimic if you ask me! When you sing about YAHWEH, how can that be construed to be anything BUT Christian? I understand the desire not to be type-cast a certain way......but all that answer back from Bo is, is a decoy! Are they a Christian Band? Well if singing about Jesus and God falls in that catagory......I think we all know the answer! These guys have played on Christian Television! Does Gun's N Roses get invited to TBN?
