You tell the people the military is needed for security and they blindly go along with it. We have local police, County Sheriffs, and State police. I think they're more than capable of handling things.

The American people are to blame here. I know it could be a hard pill to swallow but, the people are letting these apes onto the streets without any comeback and allowing an abuse of the Posse Commitatus, so they are guilty. Coupled with the other abuses of constitution going on, there won't be a constitution or a recognisable united states any more, just a down trodden people.

It was a peacefull civilian festival that has gone on for years that has never had any problems. There was no need for the military to be there.
