I have played the trumpet for 5 years. The circle on top that you push is a button. It is connected to the valve, which are those metallic cylinders(theres 3) which are connected to the trumpet tubing so that the air moves as you blow creating sound. The 3 buttons create a variety of note combinations for you to play

@MrSnafoo1 no, they're called valves
-
By the way those are buttons not levers
-
of a difference if he educated some people as to what they were called and called them "valves," but it's no big deal...The whole video, he saw himself speaking to an audience not completely familiar with [playing] the instrument.

@Razorback9296 @cjgreenwood Guys...it is clear just by looking at the app, but the app's creator personally makes a statement that this is "obviously" not to be compared to actual trumpets and is no way an app made for professional trumpet players. He uses the word "levers" because he expects many people to buy this app to be non-trumpet-players that just want to dink around and pretend. They'd probably be unfamiliar with that term being used in this situation. Sure, it wouldn't have made much

I was about to write that lol
-
Not a word about iPad? How do you blow into an i
-
I hope to play soon like Miles Davis with this tempet app, lol I am kidding.
-
They're not called "levers". They're called valves
Sincerely,
A real trumpet player

@austin752crouse hey, that's awesome you wanna learn how to make an app! in order to write an iphone app, you're going to need to learn how to program. most iphone apps are written in a language called "objective c", but it's not a very easy first programming language to learn. i recommend you look up tutorials on the javascript language -- there are tons -- and then move onto objective c and iphone programming from there. have fun!
