In singapore, guinea pigs are worth a lot of money, from maybe $200SGD onward, i dun believe anyone would eat them here, but even there are a lot of guinea pigs here, i still dont believe it would be eaten. Too bad for us....

Wow, this is in no way cruel or gross. I am getting really annoyed by how many people call this cruel or gross. Guina pigs were bred as food for hundreds of years BEFORE they were DOMESTICATED! Guina pigs are cows for them. People are just sad because they have evolved to grow up loving them once they were domesticated. The same would happen if the world started breeding widespread domestic chickens. Eating chicken would then be considered "cruel" and "gross". You all need to GROW UP!

How is this gross?? We eat chickens and farm pigs and they eat there own poop, they eat other animals or live things!! Guinea pigs are clean and they diet on grass and vegitation and are low in saturated fats!!! I bet its healthier than eating chicken, pork or beef!!
