The "crimes Israel has been commiting against the Palestinian inhabitants", what are they? Giving free water and electricity to Gaza even during the antiterrorist operation? Free hospital care for the Arabs of West Bank? Free roads and infrastructure? Letting in thousands of Arab workers from the Palestinian Authority to support its second to none economy which is failing despite all the millions of euros from the EU?

If you want to follow this path, fine: British Empire merely inherited this land from the defeated Ottoman Empire which inherited it from the Mamluks, who followed Crusaders, Arabs, Byzant, Rome and Jews which in their turn replaced/mixed in with Canaanites some 3500 years ago. Since the Canaanites are now extinct, Jews are the primary successors.

Also, one does not have to be a Zionist to expose Islamists' atrocities, there are lots of Christians and Muslims that do it all the time because they - we - want to live in a normative world without hatred and murderous ideologies.

before 1967 "Palestine" was the name of the historical Judean and Israeli land as coined by the Romans some 1500 years ago, and the term "Palestinians" was used to refer to the inhabitants of this land, whether Jewish, Arab, Druze, Christian, Samaritan, Circassians or whatever. West Bank was abandoned by Jordan which attacked Israel in the first place, it had nothing to do with any "revolt". Thus, this land was merely gained.
