  • BEAUTIFUL ! It isn't often G & S is updated sucessfully but you people really pulled it off !

I don't usually like rewritten lyrics, either, but these were clever and, if I'm not mistaken, all referred to personages popular at the time the show is set. If so, this is quite an achievment and very much in the spirit if Sir William. Great stuff !

  • I much prefer the original lyrics - which are classic and easily understood with anyone which much history. Your lyrics are much more topical and will not be understood by anyone a hundred years hence.

  • interesting rewrite! yes do send lyrics pls

  • I like the re write. Honestly, most people need a gloss to understand the original, which make a nice reading list.

Can I get a copy of these lyrics? They are really funny. Once again, wish you were in Chicago!

  • Best show SOS have ever done - post more!

  • WONDERFUL!!!! I played Col. Calverly at the Minack Theatre in 2001. It's a wonderful part and this song cries out for updating. Well done!!! Robbie
