fountain pens are AWESOME whether they r cheap or expensive

I love my Parker "51".

I've had a Schrade tactical fountain pen for a few weeks now and apart from being built like a tank it writes beautifully. I have to say that if you enjoy the actual act of writing, a fountain pen is hard to beat. It doesn't release too much ink like a roller ball does and is smoother than a ballpoint. Best of both worlds. Pencils? Fuck pencils.

Congrats, Lewis Waterman.

@Nerevarineownsyou WORD i thought i was the only one lol

@thedarkone2134 I just be trollin. Aside from calligraphy (as in you get paid for the work you do or are practicing because you're going to be paid for it) I see no purpose in wasting time with fountain pens. Pencils all the way. Too sloppy? Laptop.
I've never met anyone who cared about how their writing looked who wasn't 50+ or a douche.

@Jebus495 So am I to take it you also don't read many books? That's the impression I get.
Pencils are cheap, but for those of us who care about our writing and how we write it...
You do realize that not all fountain pens are expensive right.
Also, I see you're from Yarmouth. I travel there often.
God dam, I thought it said "Fountain Penis" lol

I'm a huge fountain pen fan... addict. And I can tell you one thing: whether you're using a steel nib or a gold one (14K, 18K or 21K), your handwriting WILL improve. I can testify to this, it's done miracles for my deteriorating scribbles :D And well... they do look so much more impressive than 'ordinary' pens, don't they? There's something about a fountain pen nib that screams "nostalgia".
