Hello, my name is Peter Dahmen. I'm a graphic designer from germany. These are some pop-up sculptures I created. I hope you like them :-) Please visit my website: http://www.peterdahmen.de I ask for your understanding, that I don't have tutorials for my artworks. Most of my pop up sculptures are designed to be single, unique pieces. But If you are also interested in tutorials from OTHER pop up artists, I invite you to visit my facebook fanpage. Here I published a list with many tutorials and some book recommendations: https://www.facebook.com/Peter.Dahmen...

Dear Ahmed Odama, many thanks for your praise. To create these pop up sculptures, I used normal drawing paper with a weight of 190 g/m² and light cardboard in a weight between 230 g/m² and 350 g/m². For the backing sheets, I used strong cardboard with a weight of approx. 900 g/m² . For these pop ups, I used cardboard that is called "imitation bristol", but generally, it isn't necessary, to use special paper. You can also use normal offset printing paper to create pop ups. Best regards, Peter

You should make some shaped like heart, flowers, etc. and sell the design to Hallmark, and make some money.

Dear MicketsBR, many thanks for your suggestion. I already have created pop ups for commercial purposes – not only in the size of a usual greeting card. The biggest card that I designed was 10.5 meters wide. My latest project was the design of a whole pop up book which was about 5 meters wide. You can see all these projects on my homepage. The link is in the video description. Or visit my Youtube Channel (DesignPD) – most of my commercial projects can also be found there. Best regards, Peter

Dear Shubham Ringe, the pop up sculptures from this video are collector's items that I create personally on demand. Each motif is limited to 20 pieces. I ask for your understanding, that I don't want my artworks to be copied. Therefore, I don't share my plans. If you are generally interested in tutorials, please read the video description. There you will find a link to many tutorials and templates for pop up cards. Best regards, Peter

Dear MultiKill1719, to create one of these pop up sculptures, I needed between three and twelve days. I created all these paper artworks in the year 1989. At that time I did not even HAVE a computer – so they are created only by using a ruler, a pencil, a cutting knife, glue and lots of hours with trial and error. But even today – if I want to create a copy of one of these paper artworks, I still need up to 90 hours, just because they are made of so many different pieces. Best regards, Peter

I'm glad this world still has people like you, I hope to god you continue a traditional style of life instead of succumbing to the failure like the rest of the world. Good job on the artwork, insanely creative & amazing to look at, keep it up man. I wish you the best of luck in the future, and hope your ideas take you far in life.
