Muammar Gadaffi Speaks Truth To The UN 2009 (NEW Translation)

In some ways this speech is prophetic , as Gadaffi identifies the very inequities inherent in the UN that were to become the instruments of his murder & the annihilation of Libya.

The control & abuse of the 'security' council & 'permanent member' status by a small number of countries which have granted these special powers to themselves!

The repeated use of the UN security council to commit wars of aggression which serve only the interests of the small number of powerful groups controlling the UN.

Colonisation continues to this day & is assisted by a corrupt & captive United Nations & it's NATO thugs.

In other ways, this speech is naive in his open hearted acceptance of Obama who had just come to power.

The official translation of this speech was appalling so I have uploaded this version which I found on an archive of Gadaffi's own website which was attacked & taken down.

President Gadaffi is so right.The united Nations must not be run or control by the so-called super powers.All unions of the world must have permanent members on the Security council.The Security must only act as an instrument through which the United Nations can excise it's power.The veto power must be abolished within the Security Council,because it is being used by the Super countries for personal gratification.

Whils tGhaddafi did have some points (such as Colonial countries paying compensation for milkiing countries of their assets), i wonder if he would have been happy to pay compensation for all the pirates who used to leave his ports, and terrorise the Europeans. Stealing owmen, and men and children for slavery, prostitution and all sorts of horrors.

Which was worse, colonisation, or slavery, rape, torture, by the Barbay (borth african) pirates, when THEY had the upper hand ?
