  • This is not russian! It is ukrainan song!

  • i prefer the russian version over the ukrainian... it seems to have a more articulate pronounciation :P

  • YES!!!! I found a christian russian!!! totally adding this to the christmas choir program: В звёздную ночь Христос рождён.

    В яслях простых был положен.

Ангел с небес в поле сходил,

    Он пастухам весть возвестил:

    "Радуйтесь все - Христос рождён.

    В яслях простых был положен."

Слава, слава, слава Богу в вышних!

    Человекам всем благоволенье!

    Ангельский хор песнь воспевал,

    Мир на земле провозглашал.

  • @Annoyance134 here are the ukrainian original lyrics: Щедрик, щедрик, щедрівочка Прилетіла ластівочка Стала собі щебетати Господаря викликати Вийди, вийди, господарю Подивися на кошару Там овечки покотились, А ягнички народились В тебе товар весь хороший Будеш мати мірку грошей Хоч не гроші, то полова В тебе жінка чорноброва Щедрик, щедрик, щедрівочка Прилетіла ластівочка. I am looking for the Russian translation. I would like the Christian russian or ukrainian translation
  • @ApeTunes : the funny thing is, the nature of this tune is very well suited to the short words of the English language. 77 percent of the words of the English verse is a single syllable.

  • I actually prefer the Russian version, Schedryk, than the American version, Carol of the Bells.

  • brilliant!!

  • Yes, sorry. Go Slavic people!
