Metal Gear Solid - Part 34: Vs. Liquid Snake

This is a playthrough requested by Bortiz1993 of Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation console. As requested, it is played on Normal difficulty and contains the cutscenes throughout the game. This isn't a perfect run, speed run, or a high ranking run. Keep this in mind as you watch the videos.

So, yeah. Colonel tries to prevent the air strike, but the Mr. Dick stops him. Then Liquid and Snake fight. Haha. Eight second infinite punch. The fight went pretty well, I guess.

After that, Liquid falls and Snake saves Meryl and get all lovely-dovey.

Metal Gear Rex can be beaten by deploying chaff grenades on by each. At each deployment, make a run for his underbelly (he will begin frantic deployment of his armamnets) from where you may take aim with your Stinger AA

@Flickflag Thanks I'll try that! I always played the Twin Snakes version when I was a kid (which was WAY easier might I add) so I was surprised when I couldn't finish these two fights on the first attempts lol

@TheObscureMind I beat Rex and Liquid in less that 30 min...

With the Liquid battle, before he gets a chance to attack, Run up to his front and press Square and Snake will front flip him. Causing no damage but when Liquid gets up he wont move. Then you just run up and tap Circle. Rinse and Repeat. Hope it helps!

@Flickflag It was just luck, I did the fight legit like 10 times. I've seen strategies here on Youtube though, just stay behind/mid range to REX because he uses the machine gun attack (which is his weakest), don't get too far or too close because he can hit you with the missiles, the laser or step on you. You're on your own with the fistfight though -.- I'm still stuck on that lol

@minion12311 I did not only once but twice that must be a glitch i never saw that when i played or maybe its the mode hayato is playing on.
